stumbled across this scene last night.  was there some sort of sporting event last night?

so i found myself wandering the u.s. naval academy over in annapolis, maryland, this past weekend.  was there for my buddy wally’s wedding.  wedding wasn’t in the naval academy, nor is he a jarhead or anything like that.  wedding was in a pretty spot a few miles outside of annapolis.

anyhow, i had no idea what to expect of the naval academy.  the only thing i really knew about it was from a few random scenes in that harrison ford pic patriot games.  if memory serves me, i think he either got mugged there, or it was a botched assassination attempt on him or something.

the naval academy is pretty frigging impressive.  and not necessarily in that “i want to go kill” kinda way.  it was more impressive in a historical sense.  random statues and memorials scattered across campus.  and a massive dorm building called bancroft hall, which had this pretty intimidating ballroom that i was only able to stick my head in (it was closed to the public that day, and didn’t want to trespass, lest i get shot).
